Sunday Funday, Errrr... History Lesson.

I like history, geography, and documentaries.  To me, they're more entertaining to me than a movie.  They present facts (based on a certain viewpoint) and have a form of reality.  I know it may sound boring to others who may like science, numbers, fiction, etc.  But that's me.  And this video I've put together shows such an interest.

This was filmed at Greenwood Lakes Airshow this past August.  This has a significance to me because my maternal and paternal grandparents survived the war from the Japanese.  Such weapons, equipment, and items (similar ones) present in the video were brought over to the Philippines by the invading Japanese.  And such items were used effectively against the Allied defenders and liberators, and Filipino forces.  When I saw this, I knew I had to film it.

Anyways, I'll leave you off with that.  I've got more videos similar to this one that will be posted up soon with the coming weeks.

Don't forget to comment below, subscribe to my YouTube channel, pass my videos along, and give me a thumbs up!  :D

Easy Company of the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division

A quick blog post.  Here's a video of PFC Bill giving an overview of his equipment used on D-Day, Operation Overlord (Invasion of Normandy).

Footage was taken at the Greenwood Lakes Airshow in West Milford this past August of 2012.  It was difficult getting full audio because of the conversations from spectators and the intercom announcements.  Nonetheless, I was able to film Bill and his equipment.

I have more videos like this coming up.  So stay tuned!

1st ASP VLOG!

First ASP VLOG!  And many more to come.

Check out Frugalfilmmaker at:  (http://www.youtube.com/user/thefrugalfilmmaker)

Plus Greenwood Lake Air Show videos:

This is Tech. Cpl. Upham of the Pathfinder Team 1, 101st Airborne Division, 502 PIR.  He's giving a sitrep and overview of his equipment used during the invasion of Normandy, France (Operation Overlord).  His reenactment was fantastic.  The real actor did not go out of line.  I give him and his fellow buddies props and a thumbs up.

And now, the MG 42, Hitler's Buzz Saw during World War 2.  A fantastic yet devastating weapon of war.

Anyways, I did a CrossFit workout called "Kelly."  The workout consist of:

400 meter run
30 Box Jumps on a 24 inch box
30 Wall Balls with a 20lb ball

For 5 rounds for time.  I did it for 37:39 with a friend.  Having a partner does make a difference in completing the workout.  We pushed each other and paced it out during the last few rounds.  It was hard and here's how I felt right after.

Awesome workout.

Stay tuned for more especially the Color Run video!

Film and Photo Opportunity with EXHAUSTION

I had an awesome film and photo opportunity today in West Milford, NJ.  I attended the Greenwood Lake Airshow and had TONS of opportunities in film and photo making.  I took more film than photo, but I had time constraints.  I wish I was there a bit longer.  Here are a few snip its of what I took:

An awesome Douglas C-47 paratrooper carrier with my grandparents.  J/K :P

Vintage and real Japanese display of firearms and equipment.

101st Screaming Eagle 506th Paratrooper displaying his M1 Garand.

An awesome plane that flew by overhead at the beginning of the airshow.  I forgot what this was called...

Anyways, I spent about 5 hours there observing, filming, and photographing everything I could.  The downside was that there were a lot of kids running around the displays and interrupting my shots.  I had to do MANY retakes.  Video will be posted up soon.  Overall, a fantastic and exhausting day.  :D
